Interview:

✧ In one or two sentences, describe the main themes present in your game.

Glimmer is a 3D platformer with an emphasis on exploration. It focuses on themes of grief and joy, flow and fun.

✧ What was the inspiration of the game? What made your team decide to make this game specifically?

Our goal was to create a 3D space that feels bigger than it is, and we wanted a narrative that focused on finding one's purpose. This game was an attempt to balance mechanics that were playful and fun with a more leisurely pace and the story we were hoping to tell.

✧ What were some of your most memorable moments from making this game? What did you learn from those moments?

Development meant long hours helping each other debug and learn Godot, endless iterations of animations and 3D assets, and a lot of fun level experimentation and playtesting. Although most of our work was done remotely, it was always a good learning experience and team building exercise.

✧ Talk about your teammates! What was everyone's role?

Jon -- Lead programmer, game feel design, level design and playtesting
Madeline -- Narrative lead, 3D assets and 2D textures, mechanics prototyping
Faris -- Art lead, 3D animator and main character design, NPC and enemy assets
Stephen -- Levels and mechanics design, secondary programming and prototyping
