Part organization dating-sim, part flower-trimming puzzle. Accompany Nema on her nightly dates, utilizing procrustean revisions to tidy up the space and hopefully make a killer impression! This is a beautiful & dark game about the art of getting ready.

Interview:

✧ In one or two sentences, describe the main themes present in your game.

Our game explores self-erasure in the pursuit of romance: the quiet ways people reshape, hide, or cut away parts of themselves to become more desirable. Through cleaning, date preparation, and flower arrangement the game turns affection into something tender but also violent.

✧ What was the inspiration of the game? What made your team decide to make this game specifically?

We were initially drawn to the idea of the Procrustean bed through flower arrangement, where beauty is created by forcing things into shape. We wanted to make a game about romance that feels intimate on the surface, but reveals the discomfort and control underneath.

✧ What were some of your most memorable moments from making this game? What did you learn from those moments?

The pink Gunpla is the most memorable item we made for the game. Our journey with this object really captures our collaborative process: sometimes one person brings up an idea, it slips past the other or even gets rejected at first, but then their passion slowly grows on the other person until the other person become just as invested, and sometimes even obsessive about making sure it belongs in the game.

✧ Talk about your teammates! What was everyone's role?

We both worked across design, writing, playtesting, and production. The roles were very collaborative and sometimes overlapped, but we each also focused on:
Marty: Sound, programming
Lancy: Art
