Interview:

✧ In one or two sentences, describe the main themes present in your game.

Our game is meant to embody the feeling of performance, as well as the blending of distinct talents and identities that comes from playing together as a band. The player takes the role of both the composer and performer of a dynamic song, getting to explore the playstyles and musical identities of the four colorful band members contributing to it.

✧ What was the inspiration of the game? What made your team decide to make this game specifically?

Our early inspirations largely consisted of one button rhythm games (Rhythm Heaven, Rhythm Doctor, etc.) as well as the niche subgenre of games which fused rhythm and combat elements (Crypt of the Necrodancer, Hi-Fi Rush, BPM: Bullets Per Minute, etc.). We wanted to make something that combined rhythmic inputs, topdown 2d combat, and switching between four distinct band members.
